Willes wonders if lost goals in trade will come back to haunt Canucks

While the faithful were still obsessing over the trade that shook the world, Kevin Bieksa allowed some things have changed for the Vancouver Canucks.
But he questioned how much they'd changed.
The strength of the team, Bieksa pointed out, is still its goaltending, its overall depth, the one-two punch of Henrik Sedin and Ryan Kesler and its blueline balance. Those things were all in place before the trade deadline. http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Jury+Hodgson+effect/6239822/story.html#ixzz1nyASIM4C
Shacks' Take: Just because the third line was scoring more this year, does that make it better? For a variety of reasons I will explore in this week's Sunday Shacks' Canucks Take the answer is no.  Ed keeps trying to pound home the point that Kassian may not be the offensive force Hodgson was and that Pahlsson will definitely detract from the Canuck's offense as well, he is continually missing the entire point of the trade.  I don't want to give away the entire article but ask yourself this, are the Canucks scoring more than last year and are the other players producing like they did last year? The Hodgson trade was not about being more defensive, it was about defining roles.  I'll explain all shortly, hopefully Ed is paying attention.
